Explorations

Pat La Croix's picture

A couple of summers ago I was in a creative dance class.  All the "newbies" danced a special dance at the end of the intensive week.  Our task was to dance the feelings of this poem, quoting different lines as we danced:

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

It was a powerful dance.

Throughout history Turquoise has been used as adornment.  Beads have been found from as far back as 5000 B.C.  The Blue colors of Turquoise are caused by its copper, and the green by iron.  Some of the lore of the stone is that it relieves stress for the wearer and restores vitality.

"And know the place for the first time"..  that's a powerful thought. Maybe it's to get to the point where we actually begin to understand what life is about.
