The Clark County Arts Commission meets Tuesday, August 23, at 6:30 pm at the Port of Camas/Washougal meeting room in the administration building, (24 South “A” Street). The Port can be found just off Highway 14 by following the signs. You can get directions from their web site www.portcw.com
The Arts Commission will be discussing their plans for setting goals and strategies for service to the community. The County leadership has recognized the importance that our cultural offerings hold in the economic vitality of the region. The Arts Commission is the manifestation of that interest and Arts Commissioners are starting to hear from constituents about the needs and aspirations of arts organizations which will help them build a cultural plan.
Each arts commission meeting has time set aside for audience participation. All meetings are open to the public. I invite you to come and to bring your concerns to this Tuesdays meeting or any subsequent meeting. The Clark County Arts Commission meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm. Subsequent meetings will be in the 6th Floor Hearing Room of the County Building at 1300 Franklin Street, Vancouver, Washington, 98666.
The Arts Commission and Arts of Clark County, Inc., a 501(C)3 non-profit, our planning a county-wide Cultural Arts Summit March 10, 2012, at the Ft Vancouver Barracks.
