I got into photography shortly after my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I wanted to make sure that we had great photos of our time that we spent together. He passed in 2010 and since then it has become my way to escape and reenergize myself.
I grew up camping and hiking the pacific northwest with my dad, after I take a landscape shot I often think back to when I was there with my dad, or if it is a new place, how much he would of loved it.
I hope by sharing what I capture with others that it inspires them to get out and enjoy the magnificent area that we live in while we still can.

I am married to a wonderfully supportive husband and have a 5 year old cheerleader who likes to help me pick out and edit my shots. My mother lives with us for health reasons and helps out when we just need to escape for a bit! I work full time in the construction business as an estimator, so photography is my way of escaping and getting to be creative.  We just purchased acreage and built a house up in the Fargher Lake area to be next door to my husband's grandparents to help them out.
